About Us

    So who is Naked Tomato Catering you ask? Well specifically it's Kate and Ray Brewer but from time to time we have family and friends help us out. We only work with people we can trust with our house keys so you can be sure to get the best service. We are based in beautiful Auburn California and serve Placer and Sacramento County. On occasion we may even travel further so don't let our location discourage you if you are interested in working with us. We haven't been in business for very long but that's only because we thought we had to be responsible adults and hold down a regular Monday through Friday 8 to 5 job. Well in 2004 this all changed, Kate wanted to follow her dream so we loaded up the truck…..wait wrong story……so she quit her job and started Naked Tomato Catering.

    Kate Brewer is the primary owner and does all the cooking. She has been serving her wonderful dishes at family functions and at home for over 20 years. She has a passion and love for cooking that is second to none. Kate grew up in near by Newcastle California. Except for a short 3 year stint in Wyoming she has lived in the area all her life. Living in a small town not only gave her an appreciation for simple living and beautiful country side it taught her the importance of supporting local business. So we buy locally grown fresh foods as much as possible. After all only the best ingredients will do. Aside from starting the business she has also gone back to school to get her degree in Culinary Arts. Not that she needs anyone to teach her how to cook. Family and friends have always told her that she could easily be a Chef at the finest restaurants.

    Then there is me, Ray Brewer, Kate's husband. I don't cook at all except for when we Bar-B-Q. From time to time I help in preparing the hors'duerves or maybe stir something but that's about it. My part is to create and manage this web site, advertise, load and drive the truck, help set up the food displays, and make sure the trays of food stay full. I get a great deal of satisfaction helping my wife. It's fun to watch her work because you can just look in her eyes and know she really enjoys what she does.
